Wildfire Local is committed to making wildfire.group and other Wildfire-controlled web pages that link to this Statement accessible and usable for as many people as reasonably possible, including people who use assistive technologies.
Accessibility is an ongoing operating responsibility. It is not a one-time claim made at launch. As our website, content, forms, media, and third-party tools change, we intend to continue reviewing and improving the experience.
1. OUR ACCESSIBILITY TARGET
Wildfire is working toward alignment with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, where those guidelines apply to our website and can reasonably be implemented within the platforms and tools we use.
This statement describes a target and improvement process. It is not a certification that every page, document, feature, third-party service, or user experience fully conforms to WCAG 2.2 AA or every accessibility requirement that may apply.
2. ACCESSIBILITY PRACTICES
Our website design and review process is intended to support practices such as:
- Clear page titles, headings, landmarks, and content structure.
- Keyboard access to navigation, links, buttons, forms, menus, and interactive controls.
- Visible keyboard focus indicators.
- Meaningful link and button labels.
- Sufficient text and interface contrast.
- Readable typography, spacing, and responsive layouts.
- Zoom and text-resizing support without unnecessary loss of content or function.
- Alternative text for meaningful images and appropriate treatment of decorative images.
- Form labels, instructions, validation messages, and error identification.
- Captions, transcripts, or other alternatives for time-based media when applicable.
- Reduced reliance on color alone to communicate meaning.
- Consideration for motion sensitivity and reduced-motion preferences where animation is used.
- Manual review in addition to automated accessibility checks.
The exact implementation may vary by page, device, browser, assistive technology, and third-party component.
3. COMPATIBILITY
The Site is intended to work with current versions of commonly used browsers, operating systems, and assistive technologies. Older software, unusual browser settings, unsupported devices, or combinations we have not tested may produce a different experience.
For the best experience, keep your browser, operating system, and assistive technology reasonably current. This does not eliminate Wildfire’s responsibility to address accessibility barriers that are within our control.
4. THIRD-PARTY CONTENT AND TOOLS
Some website functions may be provided by third parties, such as maps, videos, scheduling tools, payment processors, forms, analytics, social media, chat, report viewers, or embedded content. Those providers control aspects of their own accessibility, code, interfaces, and updates.
Wildfire will make reasonable efforts to select, configure, label, and review third-party tools appropriately. We cannot guarantee that every third-party feature fully meets our accessibility target. When a third-party barrier is reported, we may attempt to provide an alternative method, adjust the configuration, contact the provider, replace the tool, or otherwise address the issue when reasonably possible.
5. DOCUMENTS AND ALTERNATIVE FORMATS
Some older documents, downloadable files, images, reports, or third-party materials may not yet be optimized for every assistive technology.
If you need information in another format or cannot access a document, contact us. Please identify the page or file and the format or assistance you need. We will make a reasonable effort to provide the information through an accessible alternative.
6. KNOWN LIMITATIONS
Accessibility limitations may arise from:
- Newly added or recently changed content that has not completed review.
- Third-party embeds or services outside Wildfire’s direct control.
- Legacy files or externally supplied documents.
- Complex reports, charts, screenshots, or visual evidence that need additional descriptions.
- Temporary defects introduced by a platform, browser, integration, or software update.
Known limitations should be documented and prioritized rather than hidden. A limitation listed here does not mean Wildfire considers it acceptable indefinitely.
7. REPORT AN ACCESSIBILITY ISSUE
We welcome feedback. If you have difficulty using the Site or accessing information, contact Wildfire Local:
Email: team@wildfire.group
Phone: (913) 349-3150
Use the subject line “Accessibility Request” when emailing.
To help us investigate, include as much of the following as you are comfortable providing:
- The page URL or name of the document.
- A description of the problem.
- The browser, device, operating system, and assistive technology you were using.
- The format or assistance you need.
- Your preferred way for us to respond.
Please do not include passwords, payment credentials, health information, or other unnecessary sensitive information in an accessibility request.
8. RESPONSE AND ASSISTANCE
Wildfire will make a reasonable effort to acknowledge an accessibility request, investigate barriers within our control, communicate about the issue, and provide an alternative method when practical.
The time needed to resolve an issue may depend on its complexity, the platform involved, whether a third-party provider controls the affected feature, and whether a replacement or technical update is required. We do not guarantee immediate correction, but we do not want an accessibility issue to prevent a person from obtaining information or contacting us when a reasonable alternative is available.
9. ONGOING IMPROVEMENT
Wildfire’s accessibility work may include:
- Accessibility checks during page design and content updates.
- Keyboard and responsive testing.
- Review of headings, labels, contrast, focus, forms, links, images, and media.
- Periodic automated testing.
- Manual testing of important visitor journeys.
- Review of reported barriers.
- Reassessment when major tools, templates, or website systems change.
We may revise this Statement as our website, methods, known limitations, or legal obligations change.
